Construction Scheduling Templates Features

All construction scheduling templates include the same custom Views, Filters, Tables, and Fields, enabling you to schedule effortlessly and consistently across all of your projects. With most commands conveniently organized within the optional Custom Toolbar Ribbon, you’ll experience fast, efficient, and intuitive access with our templates.

We provide construction scheduling templates with task listings for every type of construction project. Choose from Unlinked or Pre-linked Summary Templates and Detailed Templates for the specific project you are scheduling. These task lists can save up to 80% of your input time and provide a solid foundation for all of your projects.

Effective Pre-Construction scheduling is the foundation of a successful project. Every construction scheduling template includes a Pre-Construction Task List to serve as a checklist to help structure and guide your planning process for the specific project you are scheduling. A Phased Level 3 Preconstruction Task List is also available if needed.

All construction scheduling templates include separate filters for CSI Divisions 1-16 and CSI Divisions 1-48 for overall time frames and for a specified date range. The CSI Filters can also be used in combination with the built-in Auto Filter in Microsoft Project. The CSI filters provide the overall structure of a schedule whether you use CSI Coding or not.

There are four main Custom Views included in the templates. The Summary View is the primary view used to modify a template. The Cascading View helps evaluate and show sequencing and sharing your schedule with others. The Tracking View is used for schedule updates. The (optional) Schedule of Values View is used as billing tool.

Each template includes a set of Custom Filters to simplify viewing and organizing tasks. These filters help you to focus on specific scopes, trades, timeframes, or CSI Divisions. You can use them to quickly isolate tasks, create look-ahead schedules for scheduling updates, print filtered reports, or help with adjusting the overall project duration.

All templates include pre-configured Custom Fields to enhance visibility and control. These fields display additional data, including Specific Responsibilities, Subcontract Work, Task Priorities, CSI Divisions, Work Areas, and Phases. You can use them to sort, filter, and communicate key details clearly that support decision-making and action.

All construction scheduling templates include custom-built Tables designed to work seamlessly with the custom Views and Filters. Each Table displays targeted task data to support structuring, sequencing, and communication. Use them to streamline schedule navigation, simplify progress checks, and focus only on the details that really matter.

All templates include a default Custom Construction Calendar preloaded with major U.S. holidays as non-working days. You can also add custom non-working periods or apply planned overtime to expedite the schedule. This helps improve accuracy, align timelines with real-world constraints, expedite, and keep your projects on track.

All templates include a custom Responsibility column placed to the left of the task name to promote clarity, action, and accountability. This simple text field lets you quickly assign and filter for responsibilities without using the cumbersome MS Project Assign Resources and Sheet — ideal for managing across projects and organizations.

We provide a Master Consolidated Multi-Project template file (with all the same customizations) that allows you to insert your individual project files, enabling you to schedule, filter, view, and report across multiple, or all projects.
